Dear Ann and George,
You were busy on Saturday when we left, so we decided not to disturb your working. We are writing to say how much we enjoyed our stay with you. The Palins is a beautiful cottage and furnished more like a home with all the nick knacks, than the standard holiday cottage. It is very comfortable and was ideal for us both to chill out. The countryside there is great for walking and it is so quiet and peaceful compared to life in a large conurbation.
I read George's book and Anne was halfway through when we left.She will be ordering it from Waterstones. It gives a fascinating insight into horse racing, and our tour of the stables showed us how much hard work goes on behind the scenes. Your staff are very friendly and we wish you all the best for the future season. We are thinking of booking next year, for a week in April or May. Please let us know how to book direct.
